Have you seen Pastor Amy for directions on how to make "Prayer Stars"?
Well... here's the basics:
Get a strip of paper (1/2inch by 11inches... cut a paper the long way, into a thin strip).
1)Fold a knot at one end. This should give you a natural pentagon shape!
2) Wrap the strip around the pentagon, being careful to tightly wrap the paper and keep the basic pentagon shape. (You MUST wrap the whole, long strip, or it won't work right.)
3) When you have wrapped all of the strip, tuck the last bit into the last fold. (Trim any extra strip.)
4) Finally, gouge your fingernail into the sides... be careful to hold the pentagon by the sides, not pinching the center! As you work, the pentagon will puff out, into a tiny star!
5) Say a prayer and give your star to the person you prayed for!
YOUTH... Keep an eye out for chances to raise money for Camp! Also, keep checking back for more info on signing-up for camp! BRING YOUR FAMILY... to the Ice Cream Social on July 8, after worship! Proceeds go towards paying for camp!
